Room was super far from elevator, and from the parking lot, which made lugging items back and forth a real chore. Very clean in all areas. But room needed some repairs that looked like they had been broken for some time (bathroom door lock, toilet paper holder). Free breakfast, which was nice, but the usual precooked processed hotel foods that are warmed up in a microwave, not very tasty. Location was great, able to access skywalks to get to Target Centre etc. Parking expensive ($23 US per day). Room rate was good, booked during a sale.

It was a nice hotel, with a spacious room, and it was a bonus that this hotel has access to the skyway. Breakfast was good, everything was warm and fresh, the bacon was great, although I wish there were pancakes. The water did not get cold, which I did not enjoy, but it didn’t matter that much. Hotel staff was very friendly. A/C was very nice in the room and was able to get the room pretty cold. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

We have been staying for two weeks so this hotel is perfect for us. It has a kitchenette and laundry facilities, which is really needed for a long stay with family.

This hotel is huge! Never seen such wide and long hallways at a hotel like at this one. Staff were awesome every step of the way, friendly as well as helpful. Hotel guests can park for free in the ramp attached to the hotel building which now makes this my go-to Minneapolis hotel. Our single bedroom suite was great; clean, spacious and very clean. Breakfast at the hotel was pretty good for a free breakfast and there are plenty of dining options nearby within walking distance. I'll stay here again when in town for overnight events without a question.

This is a pretty decent hotel: a touch on the "mid-2000s business trip" side of design, but nothing that screams please renovate me. It’s clean, comfortable, and doesn't try to be more than it is, which is refreshing in a world full of overpromising boutique hotels with weird wallpaper and no drawers. Staff? Genuinely nice and efficient. No fake smiles or robotic “have a nice day” energy. Parking is in the same building, which sounds convenient until you discover it’s a short expedition: walk a bit, take one lift, then another. If you’re carrying luggage, consider it your hotel-provided workout. Rooms are surprisingly spacious for downtown Minneapolis. If you're not in the market for five-star frills and just want room to breathe (and maybe do a cartwheel or two), this place delivers. Pro tip: ask for a room on the 12th floor, preferably near the guest laundry. Not only do you get quick access to washing your travel-weary socks, but you also get a built-in security perk. The night security guy apparently sets up camp in an armchair right in the laundry room. Your laundry has never been safer. Or more supervised. All in all, a solid base camp for your Minneapolis adventures - just pack light if you plan to do your own laundry. You might have an audience.

Smokey J's Four P's Review: Price: 5/5. Excellent value for the quality received. Feels new and very well maintained. Service was very good, and the attached parking deck was convenient (for $23 daily fee). Pantry: 5/5. Hot breakfast available with good variety. Restaurant-grade furnishes in large dining area. pH: 3/5. Water was very soft. Still not sure if I've rinsed all the soap off. More a result of local water supply than under the hotel's control. Patio: 1/5. Only smoking option was to go out and stand by the street, but for a downtown property I guess this is all one can hope for. Glad it wasn't winter.

I needed to find a place to stay while a family member was in the hospital. I booked online and when we had uber’d to Residence we were met with locked via key card doors and a guard asking if we had reserved a room. I told him I had and I would like to check in. We checked in with the front desk and as information became available from the hospital staff I was able to extend my stay without issue. When I was notified my family member could go home I was able to do a late check out without issue. I am not a fan of city driving so I had parked my car in the hospital parking garage for the week and uber’d wherever I needed to go. Breakfast was alright, I appreciated the fact there was no up-charge for breakfast and the 12pm checkout was the bees knees.
